Latest artwork 3 April 2023

Always learning and experimenting with new ideas, In February I enjoyed creating a series of greyscale / monochrome paintings, originally inspired by the work of Normal Acroyd, who I learnt about in Gail Astbury’s classes at Open Ealing.

Here are a couple of the paintings I produced. More can be found on my Instagram account @susieheyesart and soon they will be uploaded into my shop under original artworks.

Nearly all of the paintings posted on Instagram are available to purchase, should you be interested.

This last month I’ve also enjoyed painting birds inspired by photos taken in Warren Farm, especially those of David Gordon

Below are a few of my latest bird paintings.

I have also been focussing some time on doing some linocuts along with geli printing and collage. A few examples are below:

Spring has just arrived so I thought I’d also paint a couple of blossom paintings, with a Japanese edge to them.
