The Duckpond Market at Ruislip was an enjoyable day with a wonderful atmosphere. Crowds of people, both local and from afar came to browse and buy from the various stalls. My new local prints of Ruislip were particularly popular, especially as I had an offer of 25% off on all Ruislip a3 prints. I plan to do a similar offer when I return to the Duckpond market at Ruislip on Sunday21st May, so if you missed out last time, you’ll have another chance to purchase a local print. Last week my stall was also focussed on the many bird original paintings, linocuts and collages that I have done which also proved popular. As well as this, I had many of my original landscape watercolours available, some of which are on special promotion.
Ruislip is a lovely London suburb with a great community feel. If you’re not from Ruislip, you can have a wonderful day out. You can walk around Ruislip woods, go to the Lido if the weather is good, as well as having a mooch around the market. The next Duckpond Market at Ruislip on 21st May is the craft market so there’ll be many crafts and arts available.
Very close to the market is also a popular Ruislip Frameworks, showcasing many artist’s work, some of which are local. I’d recommend that you pop in there as well. I hope that soon I may be able to have some of my work in there. As well as this, there is often an exhibition of local artists and photographers in the building opposite the Great Barn, where the indoor stall holders are.
